Legal
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This policy lays out what BankingLens collects, why we collect it, who else touches it, and what you can do about any of it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If a section leaves you with a question, email hello@bankinglens.com and a real person will answer.
BankingLens is operated by Data Clarity LLC, an independent software company based in St. Louis, Missouri. We are not a bank, and we are not affiliated with the FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, or Federal Reserve. When this policy says "we," it means Data Clarity LLC. You can reach us at hello@bankinglens.com.
We try to collect only what we need to run the product. That breaks down into four buckets.
Borrower form inputs. When you build a borrower report, you give us the details of your scenario: loan amount, loan type, state, industry, annual revenue band, credit band, your existing bank, how flexible you are on geography, and your self-confirmation that you meet SBA eligibility. We use these inputs to match your scenario against public lending data and produce your report. We do not verify them against any outside source.
Email address. We use it to deliver your report, send your receipt, and, if you opt in, send occasional product updates.
Payment information. Card payments run through Stripe. Stripe handles your card number end to end. We never see it and never store it. What we keep is a Stripe reference and basic order details such as the last four digits, the amount, and the date.
Site analytics events. As you move through the site we record events like page views, clicks, and which buttons get pressed, so we can see what works and what is broken.
We use a small set of established vendors. Each one does a specific job:
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with these vendors only so they can perform the function listed above.
Strictly necessary. A session cookie keeps you logged in and lets the site work. There is no way to turn this off and still use the product.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that help us understand traffic and usage patterns. These are about measurement, not advertising.
Advertising. The Meta Pixel and Google Ads set cookies that let us measure ad performance and reach people who have visited before. If you would rather not be tracked this way, see the next two sections.
You can ask us to export the personal data we hold about you, and we will send it to you. You can ask us to delete it, and we will, except for order records we are legally required to keep for tax purposes.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off the list.
To opt out of analytics, turn on Do Not Track in your browser, use a tracker-blocking extension, or simply leave the site. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bankinglens.com.
Our data lives in the United States. Cloudflare R2 and D1 store our files and database on US-based infrastructure. We do not currently transfer personal data outside the United States. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first.
BankingLens is built for business owners, analysts, and lending professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us data, email us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the product changes or the law does. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect it. Material changes will be called out clearly rather than buried.
Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy go to hello@bankinglens.com. Mail reaches Data Clarity LLC, St. Louis, Missouri, United States.
